A Strange (and cool) restaurant

Today, my dad, I, and my dad’s high school classmate's family went to SpaceLab, a cool-looking, high-tech restaurant. It had a neon, space-like theme, and its most unique feature was its delivery system: most of the food was delivered by robots on tracks, like a robotic marble run that can go uphill and deliver food.¹

Most of the food that couldn’t be delivered by the “trackbots”²—as I call them—was delivered by robots with wheels. Even though we ordered a lot of food, enough to cover the table, only one plate was delivered by hand!

My dad’s high school classmate ordered a pizza that he thought would be delivered by the “groundbots,” the other delivery robots I mentioned. But it was actually delivered by a trackbot!

The restaurant also gave us gifts, but we didn’t expect them. Another group had settled at a table along our track, so we thought the trackbot would stop there. Instead, it stopped at our table and gave us two identical toys: one for me and one for my dad’s high school classmate’s daughter.

They were like regular wind-up cars, but after you let them go, they would move in one direction and then the other, repeating until the wind-up power ran out.

Summary

This restaurant has a lot of selections, though some food may sound strange to you—like durian pizza! It has a cool delivery system and a robot show featuring the trackbots. The best part? An upstairs projector screen that plays movies!
